100hr Yoga Therapeutics
Teacher Training

About the training

The Yoga Therapeutics Teacher Training is created for experienced yogis and yoga teachers, wanting to take either their personal and/or teaching practices to the next level. To discover more depth, specificity and understanding of the distinct therapeutic benefits of yoga asana, on the Body, Mind & Spirit.

We will learn how to tailor our yoga practice to meet our specific individual needs, moment to moment, physically, mentally & emotionally, throughout the changing seasons of our lives, and the lives of our students.

HELD Yoga Therapy is a healing system of therapeutic yoga that incorporates the wisdom of the Five Element Meridian System of Traditional Chinese Medicine & the Taoist Healing Arts of China & Japan, with traditional Indian Hatha Yoga Asana.

  • In this training you will learn the precise therapeutic benefits of each of the hatha yoga asana's, discovering which organs are influenced directly by particular meridian pathways, accessed purposefully in each posture.

  • In this training you will discover how to assemble, practice & teach therapeutic yoga practices for each of the the five elements; Metal, Water, Wood, Fire & Earth, congruent with each of the five seasons; Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer & Late Summer.

  • You will train up in how to recognise postural implications of chi imbalance in ourselves & our students on & off the mat. And to create individualized therapeutic yoga programmes, incorporating asana, breath, nutrition & lifestyle support, for specific pathologies, imbalances & holistic individual needs.

  • You will cultivate the capacity to work directly & effectively with each of the 12 primary organ systems of the body, by vitalising the 12 main meridian pathways, optimising chi flow through the energetic system & influencing physical,  psycho-emotional & spiritual health & well-being.

Tina Nance has been practicing Yoga for over 25 years and teaching Yoga, Somatic Inquiry & Women’s Work around the globe since 2001, in classes, workshops, retreats and yoga teacher trainings.

Tina is deeply passionate about creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds to connect directly and experientially with their body-mind and Spirit via the Embodied Arts.

Tina is the founder of HELD : School of Embodied Self Integration & the somatic practice of Embodied Unwinding.

HELD runs 100hr Yoga Teacher Trainings in Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga & Nervous System Regulation, Embodied Trauma Integration, Embodied Mindfulness & Embodied Feminine Arts.

Tina’s work centres within the understanding that many of the contractions of the body-mind are a manifestation of identifying with thoughts and behaviours that are misaligned with the truth of who we are.

All of Tina’s embodiment based programmes focus on consciously unravelling these holding patterns within our body-mind's, in a myriad of ways, with guided transformative loving awareness.

In cultivating the art of heart-centred embodied listening : deep presence, curiosity, directed awareness, compassionate holding and conscious breath within each asana, Tina’s work engages all eight limbs of yoga on the mat.

In connecting to their innate essence as loving presence students learn to contain, embrace & integrate all that arises, embodying the integration of their body, mind and spirit.

Throughout the last decade Tina specialised in Yin Yoga & Embodied Mindfulness, and Yoga Therapy for Women's Wellness.

More recently in response to all that she has learnt directly in her recovery from her own battle & growth with trauma & nervous system dysfunction, she passionately expanded into Embodied Trauma Integration practices including Nervous System Regulation, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Somatic Experiencing, Trauma Informed Yoga Nidra & Trauma Informed Yoga.

Tina is a long time resident yoga teacher & teacher trainer at The Yoga Barn in Bali, Indonesia, teaching regular Classes, Workshops & 6x 100hr HELD Embodied Arts Teacher Trainings & a 500hour HELD Advanced Yoga Teacher Training programme.

Tina is currently creating the HELD Online Yoga & Embodiment School where she is offering ongoing Online Classes, Workshops, Trainings & Teacher Trainings in Yoga & the Embodied Arts, Somatic Inquiry & Embodied Trauma Integration.

Eva Joan Ritchie

E-RYT 200, TNYT RYT-500 TNYT ~ Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa (Slow-Flow)

Eva's introduction to the intricate realm of the body-mind complex started when she took her first yoga class at age 15 - deeply touched by the calming and opening effects of the practice on her body & mind, She has been practicing ever since.

Throughout the years, Eva explored different styles of yoga and had the privilege to learn from wonderful teachers such as Kristen Boddington, Glenn Ceresoli, Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machliss of Yoga Synergy, Sarah Powers and Tina Nance. Eva became certified with the School Of Sacred Arts in 2013 and  continued her studies completing all 3x 100hr modules of the TNYT Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Programme & primarily teaches meridian based yoga therapy & yin yoga in weekly classes, workshops, retreats & teacher trainings.

In addition to yoga, Eva was also interested in the healing arts and so at 19, with a lust for travel, she moved from her native France to Australia, where she studied Herbal Medicine and a range of tactile therapies for 4 years. After completing her studies,  Eva  travelled through South-East Asia to West Africa, Europe, North America and Mexico, broadening her view of the world & now lives & teaches in the stunning natural countryside of Bellingen, Australia.

Eva's approach to life and healing stems from her belief that we are all made up of many layers: physical, emotional, mental and energetic – which all need to be communicating to each other harmoniously, so that we can live conscious & healthy lives. Eva is passionate about encouraging this internal communication & harmony through her practice & her teachings.
